I am a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) of The Piano Technician’s Guild (PTG). Piano tuning, repairing, and rebuilding have been my full time occupation for the past 32 years. During that time I tuned and prepared pianos for many artists, musicians, music educators, and people with high regard for the arts.

Among the more prominent have been Ray Charles, Cory Rooney, Chick Corea, Marian McPartland, Joe Sample, Dick Hyman, Billy Joel, Marvin Hamlisch, Neal Sedaka, Avraham Sternklar, Bert Konowitz, Vivian Della Chiesa, Phillip Glass, as well as many other well known musicians. 
 

My first exposure to music and piano started with my piano lessons when I was eight years old. By the time I was fourteen I was working professionally. I started to play in bands in the Catskills when I was fifteen and spent entire summers away.

My music career ended in the mid 1970’s. I was fully immersed in piano technology and servicing pianos. What started as a part time business in 1972 quickly turned into a full time business I really enjoyed. It allowed me to remain in the piano scene without working in the evenings or traveling. My experience as a professional pianist is an invaluable asset. I can experience any and all things a particular pianist feels as the instrument is played.
